New Kicks

July 15th, 2009 Posted in Running Gear

I’m retiring my Supernova Cushion 7s which are my main pair of running shoes. They have 300+ miles on them. I’m replacing them with a pair of Supernova Glide. I’m hoping that the fresh cushioning will help prevent future heel pain and achilles issues. Incidentally, I think that my current achilles issues started with general heel pain which caused me to run faster and more on my forefoot increasing stress on my achilles and calves.

I got a deal on the shoes at Amazon. Originally priced at $100 retail, I got them for $64 with 2 day shipping.

Good luck with the new kicks.
I am due for a new pair also.

Funny how we are both on the same page…

Nice kicks! Like you, I am also due for a new pair. I think I will stick with Saucony Hurricane as well.

Next time, compare the price at http://www.holabirdsports.com They have free shipping and it gets there within 24 hours.

Internet shopping is the best. I almost always have a spare pair sitting in the closet waiting to go into rotation.
