Consistency

November 3rd, 2009 Posted in Training Runs

I ran three miles this afternoon at marathon pace. The route that I took was the same as my three mile run last Saturday. Taper runs seem so short. They’re too quick to get in a comfortable groove. I discovered when I got home that my time today was one second faster than on Saturday. For both runs, my first mile was too fast. My second mile was closer to desired pace. My last mile was spot on pace. I have no doubt that if I were to try to run the route tomorrow that I would have a similar time & result–at least I’m consistent.

I cannot believe it is coming around the corner. It sounds like you are going to be in for a spectacular weather. Good Luck and you are going to rock it.
