10K on the 10th

May 10th, 2008 Posted in Training Runs, Virtual Club Run

I participated in the 10K on the 10th today at Mercer County Park. This was my best run since the race last Sunday. I felt good. My shoes are definitely shot. I have a pair of Asics Nimbus on the way to turtleland. My time was 49:42. My splits were 8:11, 8:08, 8:01, 8:11, 7:58, 7:37, 1:36.

Nice run — except for mile 4, negative splits — really nice. Looks like a beautiful place to run, too.

Turtle, What is the course you run at MCP?
I’m always looking for new routes.

Yesterday, I started at the marina and ran the paved path to Hughes road, up Paxon road to a paved path along a creek, turning around near Quakerbridge.

I use the kayano 13′s.. Best shoes I’v ever owned. I’m in need of a new pair, and just can’t seem to bring myself to pay $135.00 for the 14′s.

If I had that kind of scenery, I don’t think I’d run so fast. :-) Congratulations on the great time. Maybe virtual races are the way to go.
