Adios Marzo

I ran a quick three miles after work today. It’s been awhile since I’ve tried to run faster than an easy pace. I manage negative splits (7:53, 7:43, 7:34) though I definitely need to do this more often.

Looking at the photo, I realize that I somehow missed the giant knives & forks along the route.

Goodbye March. Hello April.

Another rainy run

Another rainy run–the difference between today and Tuesday is that the temperature was 20 degrees cooler. It felt like a cold November rain. I had a good week of running. I’m hoping that I’m on the right track.

Trailing

This morning, I ran 6.3 miles at Clayton Park with the HATRs. It’s probably no coincidence that this week’s weather has been non-Spring-like and that this week is the best that I’ve felt since returning from vacation. It was 30 degrees at the start of our run. It was a chance to say goodbye to winter running. I will miss it.

Good luck to everyone running the Ocean Drive 10 mile or marathon tomorrow. I had this race penciled in my calendar, but March has been a washout running-wise. I ran 108 miles in January, 101 miles in February. My total for March is currently 35 miles. I’m just happy that I’m feeling better. I’m hoping that the worst of my seasonal allergies is behind me, at least for another year.
